Subtitiled "I've either been a BAD boy or a GOOD boy...you folks decide" :p

Remember My Recent thread? "I can't take me anywhere... "

Well...A friend of mine remarked "That is a great price...they got anymore 870's..."
Well hell why don't you run by by and pick me up , I'll ride shotgun and lets go see... :uhoh: :D

His wife comes along as well...oh I ride shotgun, she decided to sit in the back.

SIX 870 's folks. Well heck, he bought one for each nephew, the wife wanted one, got one for his son , bought himself one so we are now at five, I'm thinking since he gonna have to fill out the paperdrill anyway I being a smart-aleck " With SIX you get Eggroll" :D ...what is one more anyway...who knows.

So while he is filling out paper work , with CCW and DL on counter..."don't talley anything yet...I ain't through. :uhoh: :p

Well , hey... I'm on a roll, his wife and I grab a cart and start chunking cleaning kits, target throwers, and boxes of clay tarrgets, cases of ammo, slings, Uncle Mikes swivel studs, ear muffs, plugs, shooting glasses...we didin't miss much. Hey the nephews gonna need some stuff, wife said might as well get what they need now and not worry about it.

So since a manager has to escort one out with the firearms...his wife and I go get the vehicle , pull that sucker up and have the back opened up and start loading up.

See we are at least helpful and courteous. ;)

Like a Dummy he has a C note in his shirt pocket...his wife snags it and says " oh goodie your buying" so I get fed for free to boot.

I was taken home, seems as if my assistance was not needed to unload this stuff at their place. In fact the wife said I was welcome,at their home anytime- my buddy didn't say either way...gotta feeling I won't be riding shotgun anytime soon.

I'm not a shopper per se'. I know what I'm after, I go and get it and I'm done.

This is all I did...and got fed for free.

Anyone needs someone to ride shotgun...I'm available. :D

Good job!

One of the better things that happened to our bank account was when a good hunting/shooting buddy moved away. We used to clear out the back of his suburban before we'd go shopping.

Things got really bad when we would make the annual trip to stock up on reloading supplies.

Thank GOD for understanding wives (who like to shoot)!

sm, I bet we sell a lot of 870s for a company we neither own nor work for. Maybe Big Green will put us on retainer or at least front a few flats of shells.

CWG rides again...

Chris, No Plastic was bent...just lightened up that wad of C notes a bit . ;)

Dave, I'm not brand specific, brand loyal per se'. Gotta admit the 870 is one tough gun, steel receiver, it works , a lot of gun for the money. Besides , how many designs can one shoot that was made in the year they were born...and last. May not apply to some guns made today. I've shot quite a few '55 models ( my birth year) ...they are in better shape than I am. :D At least the '55 870 has parts available if need...:)

I'm the guy whom went in to an Mom&Pop gun store. Had those Marlin 60's on special...regular price $49.95, I bought eight @ $42 ea. add 3 cases of 22 ammo...I think I got a dime back from the $350 in cash I threw on the counter.

I do that ( or used to) throw the cash down and "let me know when I can't grab no more stuff". I've bought Six police trade-in Model 10s at a time and all the speedloaders the fella had...all the 1911 mags a store had...

I hate to shop...I just get it and be done with it :D

You folks really need for me to accompany your Wive's , GF's, Husband's whatever...I'll fix you right up...

Friend's wife " Just tell me again why I'm buying my husband TWO O/U's again ?"

So when your daddy comes to visit you can run them both off to shoot and get them both out of your hair

"Oh okay " she said.

Two Browning Citori's later, ammo, and reloading supplies later...we left.

:D :D
