Today i brought home a brand new, xd sub compact in .40 cal. i got it for $461.39 out the door, very pleased with that! came with the xd gear, 2- hi-cap mags with sleeves, and a 9rd magazine.
observations so far...
1) well it's an xd i love it what can i say!
2) the holster that came with it is alright and i think they work better for the sc models. it really dosen't hold it close to the body so i will use my serpa holster.btw the serpa works perfect for this pistol.
3)The slide is nice and tight and is definetly factory fresh.
4)black in color and the fit and finish is very good with no issues so far.
5)nice larger padded carry case, unlike the one that came with the service model a year and a half ago. it is a big improvement.
5) trigger is better than that of the service model,with both triggers original that is. i am sure the sc will break in even better later.
6)rds went in the mags with a little force but the mag loader wasn't needed.
7) conceals real well, especially with the 9rd magazine. i will definetly need a mag extenstion and one is already on the way, though my hands are small that pinky still likes to hang off the bottom. with the xd sleeves on the hi-cap mags the grip is just like the service model.
8) the m6 light dosen't fit on the rail, but that is fine because i am not gonna carry with the light on there.
9) i defentily see some night sights in the future.
so far i am very happy with it, and i haven't even shot it yet! i hope it shoots as good as the service model, and easily controlably. if so i will be even more pleased. i will have a range report, and more details asap! i bought 500rds today to test her out good!
