To make a long story short, I've been looking for a S&W 686-4 Plus model with a 4" barrel for almost a year. I thought it would be nice to have the 4" and 6" 686-4's in my collection and couldn't be leave how hard these things are to come by. I finally spotted this one an auction site, complete with box and I had to have it. This was the last smith on my list..for now. Only 1 revolver left, the 2.5" Stainless Python to complete my other set.

Nice snag/save on a fine revolver.
Those two have been well treated, great to see they found a good home!

I enjoy shooting the 586 in 4" and 6".
The S&W 6" 586 is still my favorite .357 revolver over the other manuf. I have owned/tried.
Mine must have looked as sweet as yours a long ,long time ago.:D

Glad you found what works for you.

Agreed! the new high capacity revolvers in ,357 Mag to get!
I found "My" revolver, a HB Model 10.
For back-up a Model 36 (no dash).

You now have a great pair of 357s. I love the 686 and also have both a 4" and 6" versions but in 6 shot.
