I finally found my truck gun

Good score. I never understood why a "truck gun" needed to be a beater. I lay a soft gun case behind the seat of my pickup, or on the floor of the 4 door pickup, and lay the gun on it. It never gets beat up that way. No sense abusing a good rifle or shotgun....chris3

Who said anything about hunting out a window? I prefer to get out of the truck, the echo from inside the truck makes ya 1/2 deaf for a couple days.

ball3006.....I have a single cab truck and it's a work truck, the gun isn't the only thing behind the seat so it gets banged around. It is in a saddle scabbord as is the .22. They are not just thrown behind the seat but are in a rack. The vibration eventually puts some wear marks on them and dings in the wood.

I don't take it in at nite so I would be scared of using a soft padded case due to moisture.
