Since when? I think the mods realize that many of its members post to other gun boards (lol shocker) and will get their news from a variety of sources. I dont know why they would be offended by members linking to AR15.com.

If I'm wrong I'd love to hear why.

Well, pardon me if I don't get too excited about this fellow's homegrown amendment passing or anything. That said, at least he's doing something, and deserves support.

Proposed Amendment to S397 #2


Purpose: To allow for the import of repair and replacement parts only


SECTION 1.: Title 18 Chapter 44 Section 925 US Code is amended by:

(a) In section (d) subparagraph 3:

(1) striking the word ‘unlawful’ and replacing it with ‘lawful’
(2) inserting ‘parts,’ between ‘frame,‘ and ‘receiver’

d) 3) is of a type that does not fall within the definition of a firearm as defined in section 5845(a) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 and is generally recognized as particularly suitable for or readily adaptable to sporting purposes, excluding surplus military firearms, except in any case where the Attorney General has not authorized the importation of the firearm pursuant to this paragraph, it shall be [strike]unlawful[/strike] lawful to import any frame, parts, receiver, or barrel of such firearm which would be prohibited if assembled; or Proposed Amendment to S 397.
