I had a dream I got a Stag

Should I take heed of the omen that this dream represents?

This morning I had a dream that I had just purchased a Stag Model 1 that I wasn't entirely enthused with.

In the dream, I was sort of kicking myself for buying it when I really wanted an LMT. I took it out to the range and tried to have fun with it. I thought to myself that I'd rather have the 2T than this 1, but then I began to shoot it. It shot well, but when I pressed my shoulder into the stock, it would collapse all the way down. I extended it back out and pressed my shoulder into it and it just slid back to the shortest position rather than staying locked in one spot. I tried to find ways to like the rifle, and found that it had been shipped fully loaded with steel cased ammo!! :what: I continued to shoot it to see if that ammo would bother it, but it didn't.

It was a pretty cool dream, but of course it got weird when I found a huge drawer under the charging handle. The walls of the drawer were caked with cosmoline and it contained several rags and dozens of tiny tubes of grease labeled WD-40 Hot Lube. They shipped this thing with WD-40 grease?!!? :scrutiny: Stag lost a few more points with me there. I tried to look on the bright side and decided to make a few RIG rags out of these rags. I was basically glad to have another rifle, but too many things kept me from loving it, and I was rather disappointed at myself for spending the money I've been saving for an LMT on this Stag Model 1.:banghead:

Once during the dream, I was at work and for some reason decided to show all of my employees my concealed carry pistol. One of my employees chastised me for carrying at all. It was an awfully weird dream, and the first of its kind (level of gun related content). At one point while at the range with the Stag, I actually considered posting my rifle's problems on THR. I can't believe that THR actually made it into one of my dreams! :fire: I'll have to take a break from here if this keeps up.

Anyway, once I woke up this morning, I immediately chuckled because I knew that at some point today I'd write this all out in a thread. I decided to make a poll thread of this dream just for the heck of it.:D

If anyone of you has the clairvoyance to interpret dreams, you're welcome to it.:neener:

One time I had a dream that I was the hero or a warrior nation and I road to battle on a chariot pulled by pegasi. The man charged with handling the pegasi was the chef of the restaurant where I was working. Good luck interpreting your dream!

I was looking very seriously at the Stag 2T and on the day I went to actually order one the dealer had just recieved two LMT Defender 2000's in the store. I paid $200 more for the LMT and haven't had a single regret with it. With 1800 rounds through it so far I have had no failures.

I'd go with the cakes... but really a stag is not a bad weapon.

But, if you really want the LMT I'd say go for it.

1. At the risk of experiencing more of these night-terrors, I'll be lying my head down for sleep again tonight. I hope I dream of the Dillon Aero M134.:D

2. I don't think Stags are bad at all, I'd love to have one, but I do intend to get the LMT when/if I can ever see one again at an acceptable price.

3. Although I really feel like Stag makes awesome guns, my subconscious must be revealing something if my dream played out that way it did.:scrutiny:

4. I also chose cake.:neener:

Seriously, buy what you REALLY want. If you have to try to convince yourself of the merits of a firearm the entire time you own and shoot it---you'll still never be as happy as if you'd finished saving up for what you originally wanted in the first place.

While the Stag is fine for many people, if you've got your heart set on an LMT.........well, I would say to go out and buy one, but I wish you luck in that endeavor.

Thanks for playing!

I'm not left handed.

This AR will have to be the LMT.

The next one will probably be a Stag (too soon to know actually).

I bought a new Stag model 4 about 8 months ago. Man, I love it. I've never had a single problem with it, and I can put 7 out of 10 rounds in an 8" circle at 100 yards with the open sights and freehand (non benchrest). My 20 year old son can put 9 out of 10 rounds in the 8" circle. We've probably put about 5 different brands of ammo through it and it ate everything with zero issues.
