" I hate guns"

Is what I was just told.

I was on another discussion board responding to a guy that said he got a BB gun pulled on him and was shot because of the team that was on his jacket. When I asked him if he took any measures to defend himself or if he was armed he says "I hate guns".

I prefaced my next post by saying I really hate to discuss this here so I'll keep it short. Then I asked him if he hated hammers or any other tool, because that is all guns were and that they are neither good or bad inheirently.

We ended after he says I have multiple valid reasons to hate guns.

I'm not a big intimidating guy. If I can carry something that will help prevent any of the above, I'm all for it.

Just the other day I went to blockbuster to try and find Winchester 73. (oops) When I asked if they had it another employee had been eves dropping and quickly said "Is that a gun movie? I dont believe in guns, blockbuster doesn't believe in guns. We dont carry guns." She may have been flirting because she said it with a smile. I almost bursted out in laughter when I thought to myself "Well you can keep 'not believing in them' and they'll continue to exist."...

I was shot with a BB gun before. It also took the police an hour to get to me after I called them.

I hope he beat the living daylights out of the perp who shot him.

Nope didn't do anything. He didn't even call the cops and report it. Said he was in too good of a mood about his team winning to want to deal with the headache...... I said ***? dude, report it and atleast give a describition of the vehicle and the person who did it. His menality was "ahhh just a bunch of teenagers goofing off"

No wonder kids do these kind of things, half the people in this country don't even care if incidents like this go consaquence free.

I converse with people who are susceptible to reason and facts; those who already have their "minds" made up, however, don't get to waste my time and energy.
