I have searched this forum for decent folding stock suggestion...I came up empty;) Seriously...can anyone reccomend a decent folding stock for a maverick 88? I know that folding stocks are compromises but they serve my purpose (traveling w/ shotgun)

I have been thinking of both side folding butler creek folders and the top folding knoxx stock. Any info would be appreciated!

The Knoxx stock is very high quality, but bulky- it sticks over the top of the receiver when folded, and the pistol grip sticks out the bottom. I've heard the Butler Creeks are OK. None of them are going to be really comfortable to shoot, because they are a compromise of comfort and compactness.

Butler Creek's are about the most comfortable to shoot and are very durable. I've ran one on my Moss500 for over a decade and haven't had a single issue with it.

I can feel your pain. I had to buy four differnt stock for my 870 in an effort to find one that suited me. I still haven't found the perfect one, but settled on an M4 style.

I have the knoxx stock and I can not recommend it highly enough.

Seriously.

It works BETTER than their advertisements say it does.
