What do you think about this...

Ruger MKIII pistol threaded for silencer.
Hinged Skeleton stock that replaces the grip and attaches to the grip screws.
20" long silencer with foam insulation around it to make it comfortable to hold.
4x Scope

Wouldnt that be a sweet 22 rifle?

Personally i cant make one. Illegal to convert a pistol into a rifle, and illegal with hinged stocks. The silencer on the other hand isnt a problem. But a man can dream cant he?

I believe theres a finnish company called SAK that is/was making that kind of stock for the Ruger 22 pistol.

I hope i have put some ideas into someones head now:D I would love to see one made

I've drawn up plans for a shoulder stock for my Colt Woodsman (made in 1938.) It's a shame I can't actually make and use it, but some bureaucrat might soil his lacy undies if I did.

Maybe, maybe not.

Illegal to convert a pistol into a rifle, and illegal with hinged stocks.

It's illegal to do anything prohibited by the NFA of 1934 without first registering the weapon with BATFE and paying the excise tax. That doesn't make it "illegal" per se. Local law will also modify what you can own or do, but don't accept that something is beyond your reach without checking a real reference. The Machinegun Dealer's Bible by Dan Shea is an excellent starting point for anybody thinking about getting into NFA weapons.

We are so intimidated by BS that we hear or read that we fail to understand our rights. It's the old "whatever is not mandatory is forbidden" nonsense.:fire:

If your "dream gun" is what you really want, it may be attainable with a little research.

I'd gladly pay the NFA tax, but Kaliphornia won't let me own one. :(
