I have five hadnguns and only one is a revolver. I have a taurus 85, and while it is a nice little gun, I would like something that fills my hand a little more. I think my next handgun purchase will be something like a Model 460.
I have a new love of wheelguns, who's with me?

While most agencies now issue semi-autos (OSP issues Glocks), I prefer revolvers. My first duty weapon was a Colt Trooper MK III six inch and it was a great gun. I recently found one and bought it. I sent it back to Colt to be re-blued and they also adjusted the timing. I shoot much better with it than a Glock. I also have a four inch S&W 586 which I regularly carry. If I win the lottery, I may buy a Python.....

You'd be surprised at how many deals there are on those still around. Every new town you find yourself in, check out all the gun shop and pawn shops. You can even find new ones that have been on the same shelf for twenty years or more, still tagged at a very low price because the guy can't get rid of it. I've seen this. I have a really nice six inch Python, but I only have it because I got a good deal on it and so many people think it's cool to have one, and I like to be cool, LOL. My favorite revolvers are Smith and Wessons, though I like the old Colt Detective Specials almost as much. Not a huge Python fan.
