I need help buying a wheelgun

After 35+ years of being a gun nut and about 25 years of buying guns I have only purchased 3 wheelguns. I just can’t seem to bring myself to buy another, even though I enjoy shooting them. It seems to do something with the fact I like taking things apart and seeing what makes ’em tick. So to me, revolvers all seem to work the same basic way and that just doesn’t get me enthused enough to buy another.

This is what I have in order of purchase.
Smith & Wesson Blued Model 19-4 in .357 Mag w/4” barrel
Smith & Wesson SS Model 629-1 in .44 Mag w/6” barrel
Taurus 94SS5 in .22LR

And this is what’s on my wish list in no particular order.
Something in .41 Mag
Colt SAA Clone in .45 Colt
Something in .44-40
6" SS S&W in .357 Mag
4" Blued S&W .44 Mag
Taurus or Ruger in .30 Carbine

Am I missing something on my wish list?

Am I missing a Holy Grail of wheelguns that should be on my list?

There's a bunch of Holy Grail Wheelguns. Everyone has one on the list. It all depends on how FAT your wallet is and how high you want to set your goals.
Could be a Korth, plan on spendings many Thousands.
Same with a S&W registered magnum.
Then again, you can just go with what's known as the Cadillac or Rolls Royce of revolvers, the Colt Python.
Some people love the model 27-2. It's a S&W pinned & recessed .357 magnum on a N frame that's no longer made.
Those that have them love them, those that don't want them. They are great guns with smooth actions and won't cost you your first born unless you're buying an unusual barrel length and finish.
Maybe you want a big gun like a .500 magnum, or an engraved gun for the love of art.
You have to set your goals and decide what your personal grail may be.

Again, It all depends on what you have in the wallet.
You have a wonderful pair in the model 19 & the 29. Two great modern day wheels.
Good luck on the hunt.

Yeah, I think you need a 41 mag revolver. Find yourself a nice clean Smith Model 57.

* I would recommend the entire "snake" series from Colt. The Python, Diamondback and King Cobra. That is a great start. The Python and the Diamondback are some of the most beautiful handguns ever made.

* Some of the Smith's to consider are the 29, 25, 19, 10, 586 and 686. That is just a start.

* As another mentioned previously, a Korth is quite impressive.

Good Luck

GUNKWAZY,
Those are fine looking Colts. They really are so much more than guns. They are works of art.

I've found the Ruger Single Six to be fun. Shoot mostly .22's but pop a few wmr's every now and then.

Just bought a Ruger GP100. Shoots almost as well as my circa 1930 S&W .38 Special. Nothing fancy about either of them, but both seem to find the center of the target despite my best efforts. She-who-must-be-obeyed likes the S&W, so a "gun-fight" in my family is who gets to shoot it.
