I had a springer GI, and sold it for no real reason, but I found myself wanting to add a lot to it, I dropped in a wilson trigger, sear, hammer and wanted to add a mag well and already added some CT laser grips. But I want a springer with a little flair and most f the accessories like ambi thumb safety, night sights and I find myself stuck between the TRP which is a work of art with all the trimmings and the loaded which is a more blue collar model, I really have looked at the TRP and the price is the obvious turn off, I have looked at the comparison, and I want a Reliable, first and foremost, accurate , and nice 1911 , I found myself looking to get a loaded and just adding a magwell, tell me what is the best decision for the cost minded , and reliability out of the box springer just need input and I know im in the right place.

Probably not what you want to hear, but with the words you just used, and using the same logic, I went with the Mil-Spec. I added some VZ grips, and I'm done.

Now I just struggle finding a good carry rig for outdoors/acreage application.

I went with the Loaded, and changed out the stock grips for Hogue rubber palm swells, replaced the stupid ILS flat MSH with an arched one, and replaced the two-piece full length guide rod (who ever thought this was a good idea?) with a shorty. Now, you could say, why buy the Loaded if you're gonna do all that to it? My answer is that model was in my budget, I've learned a fair amount about the workings of the gun by doing these mods, and (best of all) one of the pleasures of the 1911 platform is the ability to make it your own without impairing the shootability of the gun. Next up? Better sights.
