yep! i did it an went ahead and joined the NRA. being a long time fence sitter and after much thought , i came to the conclusion that eventhough i don't subcribe to everything the NRA means to me...i can't stand idle as a gunowner/hobbyist and not support an organization that does it's best to give us "gunnies" a voice in the fight for our gun rights...basically, i used the reference to motorcycles and other hobbies as a comparison. it doesn't make sense to own/ride a moto and not join the AMA. same as a health professional and not join the AMA, APA,ADA, etc...or a mechanic not ASE certified etc...support the respective sport, profession or hobby's organization..that's what made sense to me..i could be wrong..YMMV i got the American rifleman subscription as i don't hunt..i figured it would have more diverse fireams info/stories than American hunter. i'll keep y'all posted as to what benefits i get out of it...
