I just assumed that they were trying to cash in on the ccw market. When all of the gun buying craze started, everytime I went into a gunshop there were scores of first time buyers looking for pocket pistols.
dont they already do that with the .50 cal?? anything over .50 is called a destructive device.
"Any non-sporting firearm with a bore over 0.50" (many firearms with bores over 0.50", such as 12-gauge shotguns, which are exempted from the law because they have been determined to have a legitimate sporting use). "
Wow! The ban on mags which carried more than 10 rounds set off increased demand for small carry guns in .45, 40 and 9mm. This led to increased production of such guns. For the last 5 or 6 years the gun rags have regularly reported on the increased sale of .380 acp handguns for concealed carry with new types being produced from about all manufacturers. This production has been in response to increased sales of these guns. In fact sales of guns in all calibers and sizes have been on an upward trend for over a decade now more or less.
These trends have developed out in the open where all could see them who were looking. There has been an increase in the sale of small leightweight carry guns in all calibers and .380 has enjoyed a new-found popularity as part of this.
Either the above is true or it's all part of a vast conspiracy to ban certain calibers. Your call.
