I like to set my dies one time. So I don’t do them often. But when I do, I’m good with an open book test!

Here’s the setup I use, you can get the dial indicator and stand on Amazon real cheap. I’ll make adjustments with it greater than .05” at a time, usually get within a few thousandths of the seating depth I want. Just put downward force on the seating stem while you’re turning it to keep it consistent
