Finally got a chance to shoot my Steyr M95. It's taken awhile to locate large rifle primers (which I found a store that had 1,000's) and fired both reloads and 1940's surplus.
Initial accuracy was decent for a milsurp, about the same as my 91/30. The difference though is the rifle size and the recoil. I was expecting the 8x56R to kick like a mule but the recoil was much more manageable than I thought it would be and was much less than my T53. Plus, I like the en bloc clips in a handy carbine.
Once I play around with my loads, I'm sure I can get this into a decent bush rifle for deer hunting.
