I thought I hated 700x until I tried replacing it with titegroup.
It was a nightmare in a volumetric measure, but was super accurate.
Titegroup has been a dismal failure for me. It seems to be sensitive to case position and vertical strings more than anything I have used.

Try Sport Pistol, seems to be good stuff meters great but a bit slower than 700x
AA#2 is also a bit slower but meters great.

I'm going to keep beating my head against the wall until this pound is gone. I've started running it on my Whelen with a 158 to burn it faster.
Isn't sport pistol relatively new?

Personally I would just go and get some 700-X. Just save the Titegroup for the next shortage/scare/run , It won't spoil in the near future.;)

This is what I would do.

700-X and 230 RN is about all I load in my 45 ACP ammunition.

I tried Titegroup and I did not care for it, I gave it to a friend that uses it. He gives me stuff he doesn't like so it all works out in the end sort of.

I like 700X,got a BUNCH of it. Two standouts are in a 6" #14 and a GC. 150g and 200g respectively,with home cast.

Run through custom inhouse made rotors on old Lyman Accumeasures..... it meters pretty durn well. The loading windows on the two handguns above is pretty big with their class of bullets and 700X. Basically, leaves you with no excuse for missing?

Not a hater,on tightgroup powder but..... haven't found it producing anything other, older powders can't do? But will admit to not trying, that hard. There's many good "fast" pistol powders. Try to find what the gun likes on the bullets, then sorta choose a powder that makes it sing. This is NOT,the only way but I like big loading windows.... and the bullet plays a little harder to change roll so getting that done early helps the process IME.

I miss the smell of 700x... To me it has a "unique" aroma, not mistaken for anything else. It was the first powder I ever bought as a kid (mom actually did, I was too young :)), to use in my Lee Load-All. Also, like many here it has proven to be very good for a lot of my pistol loads, tried and true, just simply works day in, and day out.

Nostalgia is a big thing for us reloaders, and 700x is a biggie in this regard for me.

I have used a lot of 700X, it does not meter as well as other powders. But I have never had a problem with loaded ammo and it is accurate. It does meter better than 800X.

I like to shoot my 44-40 using 700-x, as recommended by the Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook. I wouldn't suggest it for a small charge, because coarse powders need the larger apertures to settle in without bridging. I have used Titegroup only in 9mm with great results, because it is too hard to view before placing a bullet for seating in a larger case. Position sensitivity should be no surprise.

Is there something that doesn't:D

Ok powder for Howitzers...
Cheerios might...
I am tempted to try green dot because I do a fair amount of cast bullets in rifle cases.
It seems the more powders I try, the more I like the old ones.

Right now I have 14 handgun powders on the shelf but 700X is not one of them. I want to try 3 more but I already have so many powders.

Just a note, I also have 12 rifle powders on hand.

I just can't help myself lol!

I had you out numbered on rifle until I got my Whelen. It gobbles powder so it ate my unwanted stuff.
I only have 7 handgun ones and 3 of those are Magnum. My shotgun ate my fast pistol powders.
When I'm done, I will have 4 of each.
H1000, 4064,3031,cfe223. H110, bluedot, (cfe-p or universal) and (700x or ???)
