I need a list of DA/SA auto's

I am trying to do a comparison on a bunch of double/single action pistols to be my next carry piece. I obviously prefer the fist pull to be double and the rest single and the ability to decock it.
Here is what I already have on my list

Taurus 24/7
Bersa thunder
SW99
That is pretty much all I can think of.

Well, the ones I have are:

Also:

HK P2000sk (V3).

All of the above, with the exception of the all steel 5906 are in my estimation excellent candidates for your needs.

The 5906 is really too large for cc, but makes an excellent "bump in the night" choice.. In fact that's what I use mine for, with Crimson Trace Lasergrips.

I think the 3913LS & CS9 are very, very good for cc...



Never had a 3rd Gen Smith I didn't like, nor have I ever had one that wasn't absolutely reliable.. (Job ONE for me in a personal defense firearm.)

From your choices I am assuming you are not looking at .32 ACP's but the Beretta tomcat 3032 is a da/sa.

Yup .... P229 a tad bigger, but also in .22LR, 9mm, .40cal, AND .357 SIG.

Great feel, but a shade big to carry daily.

LOVE the decocker/No safety bit.

DA / SA Carry with Saftey/ Decocker

The PHP MV-9 is a little heavy for regular carry,but is shorter than most service 9mms. It is all steel, slightly over 4" barrel, and 15 rd. double stacked magazine.

At first it appears to have a saftey/decoker, but the instruction manual states, the hammer should be lowered gently, since decocker mode could cause discharge.



I don't know if it can be carried safely with hammer down. Perhaps other THR members can answer this question.

This is just to add to the list. There are many others to choose from.

Just about any modern semi-auto that isn't Double-Action Only or Single Action (like a Browning Hi-Power or 1911-type...) is, almost by default, DA/SA.

Glocks and guns with similar actions are considered DA/SA, even though -- technically -- they're slightly different. The Springfield X series guns are technically SA, but it's hard to tell them from DA/SA when you shoot them.

What you're asking folks to identify is basically MOST of the gun sold, nowadays.

Look at hk's, cz's, fn's, sigs, 3rd gen smiths and p-series rugers. That's just a few off the top of my head. Oh and since you have the sw99 on there you mies well add the walther p99 and magnum research MR9 as they both have the single/double decocker striker system
