I need help picking out a 1911

Not so. There's still your thirtieth birthday to look forward to, after which you can smoke cigars in public without looking like a dork, and can comment on politics and the economy at parties without folks muttering "What does that kid think he's talking about?"

Comments like these save me from feeling old just yet.. 20's.. I keep hearing it goes downhill from 21, but realize now that there are other things to look forward to.
 
Question re NRM Colt

Just to ask-what are you all having to pay for one of the nrm Colts?
I have a couple of the older series 70 colts but haven't seen one of those (nrm) yet I guess. TIA

1911s? I've always been partial to rebuilding rusty clunker GI types, or finding 1970 series or older. I recently ran across a 1934 made-in-Hartford Sistema for $430 out-the-door--which natcherly went out the door with me. :) It's gotta be good; it's the same age as I!
