I came across a stainless, half lug, 629-3 that appeared to be unfired for $900. The next gun on my list is most likely going to be a Colt King Cobra target model but man I love those .44’s. I had to force myself out of the store but man am I tempted to go back and grab it. I already see myself throwing some super walnut Altamont grips on it, talk me off the ledge!

You need to save face and turn around and buy that gun. Don't be a chicken, you will hate yourself the rest of your life. You have to look at your face every morning when you shave, you don't want shame staring you down do you, well do ya!

Angel on one shoulder and the devil on the other. While they fight it out you can go offer $800 and take it home.

As an owner of both a 629 and a King Cobra Target, get the 629. .44 > .357

I had the pleasure of shooting a 629 for the first time 2 days ago. What a great shooting gun.

I have one 629 “Classic”, pictured below but I really like the half lug varieties and the fact that it is actually a classic and well before that stupid Hillary hole is very enticing...I am flying to Ky to visit my brother, I have decided that if it is still their Monday I am going to get it.

Follow this sage advice, buy the gun so we can live vicariously and hang on to our money.

I love my 4" 629 "No Dash". I added night sights / Pachmayr Presentation grips and it lives in my nightstand at our home in bear land, frequently accompanying me outside.

Dude just do it. Even if you have to throw down a few dollars to lock it up in layaway.

When in doubt while contemplating making a purchase, be sure to ask someone who works there four simple words: "Do you have layaway?"

An unfired 629-3, for 900.00. You should be all over that. A Prelock Smith and Wesson in unfired condition, is a find. The new King Cobra is going to be available, that S&W will not be on the shelf, that long, for that price. Even if you decide to sell it later, you are not going to loose any money and may could turn a little profit.
