Voted for you gary, Honestly yours would be the one id want to use. Cheap but dependable (the point of a .22 in my opinion) robust and not over the top.
The barrel attachment......yes....Dropped my .22 bolt gun as a kid out in the field after a 2 hour walk and no cleaning rod.....
Nice design and thought process using existing features/parts already in Ruger's inventory. I voted for you, my second choice is the Scout Rifle concept. Good luck.
Just from some cursory searching around the interwebs, the OP's model seems to be held in high regard. A few others have given Chris in Tennessee vocal support too.
Voted for you this morning -- if I were in the market for a 10/22 yours is the one is be looking at. Though I'd like it even better without the iron sights.
I like it. It looks like something Ruger could build (and sell) rather easily. It would be nice if it came with a thread protector and the flash suppressor for the buyer to have the option.
