I picked up my new HK VP9.

I can't say enough good about the VP9. I have shot (owned) most of the HK varieties, Glocks, etc. Without a doubt, in my hands, the VP9 is the most comfortable, accurate, and easiest to shoot well (with the smoothest trigger) of any other gun out of the box I have experienced shooting. I should also mention it's been totally reliable thus far. This is on par with HK guns in general.
