There is discipline in A Soldier
you can see it when he walks,
There is honor in A Soldier
you hear it when he talks.
There is courage in A Soldier
you can see it in his eyes,
There is loyalty in A Soldier
that he will not compromise.
There is something in A Soldier
that makes him stand apart,
There is strength in A Soldier
that beats from his heart.
A Soldier isn't a title any man
can be hired to do,
A Soldier is the soul of that man
buried deep inside of you.
A Soldier's job isn't finished after
an 8 hour day or a 40 hour week,
A Soldier is always A Soldier
even while he sleeps.
A Soldier serves his country first
and his life is left behind,
A Soldier has to sacrifice what
comes first in a civilian's mind.
If you are civilian -
I am saying this to you.....
next time you see A Soldier
remember what they do.
A Soldier is the reason our land
is 'Home of the free',
A Soldier is the one that is brave
protecting you and me.
If you are A Soldier -
I am saying this to you.....
Thank God for EVERY SOLDIER
Thank God for what YOU do!

I'm sorry for you and your families loss. Nothing in this world could be worse than losing a child. There are those of us out here that never forget the sacrifices made to keep this country free, and that brave men and women give everything they have to keep us free and proud. I pray for you and your son.

I am so sorry to read of your loss, Sir. Thank you for sharing it with us. My prayers and the prayers of my two churches will be with you and your family this week. Thank you for your son's service and for your personal sacrifice.

I'm sorry for your loss. Thank you for your sacrifice. I can't even relate to what you have went through but I can pray for you & have. My God's word tells use to "cry for a season" so it is good to release your sorrow. I hope fawned memories for a life time to come.

Sir, from my heart and soul i am so sorry for your loss. Your son Is part of less than 1 percent of the American Population that Defends this great nation. I Believe that every man and women that raises thier hand and takes the oath and willingly puts thier life on the line for our Great Country, Constitution, and the men and women to his left and right is among the greatest example of what it is to be a true Hero. So many people benifit from what The few service members do and accomplish. so many people go on thier daily lives having no idea what it takes to keep this country strong and to defend it from the evils that are in this world. As a soldier, and an Infantry squad leader i know what it is to loose soliders, friends, and peers, many of thier names are tattooed on my body but never in a million years could i have a single idea how terriable it would be to loose a child.

I ask that God watch over, lead, guide, and direct your family, in these times, and the many times in your life to come. I ask for closure, i ask for comfort and healing to you, your family, his unit, and his many friends.

No 21 gun salute, flag or memorial service could ever pay justice to the sacrifice that your son made, and could never honor him the way he deserves.

On behalf of a greatful Nation, and a Greatful fellow soldier and American thank you for bringing into this world such a great man and American.

As i often say in times like these, "By His Blood we are Free."

My condolences and my thoughts are with you and your family. I wish there was more I could say, but words are insignificant now.

So sorry to read about it. You have my deepest sympathies, I am really sad that you and your family have to go trough this.. Your son died fighting EVIL and protecting all the free world. I, personally, will not forget.

A salute to him.

I have experienced the worry for loved ones overseas, but not the loss. I have no words to express my thoughts. May God be with you in your time of need. Prayers. AC

I am so sorry for your loss. We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers. And, may Elijah rest in ever lasting peace, he deserves nothing less. May God stand by you and give you the strength you need to get through this.

My son is in Afghanistan now and will be heading back to the states Dec 18, God willing. I worry every day that we'll get that call.

Hello, I cannot imagine what you are going through. My name is Mrs Easley, my husband SSG Easley was stationed with your son, he is getting ready to speak at the memorial there for him on the 10th. I wanted to express my deepest condolences, and I am here for all your family and Leah if needed. You are in my prayers.
