My God bless & keep u & ur family during this very difficult time.I pray for him to give u all the strength that u need to get thru this time.Your family & Elijah paid the ultimate price for our freedom & for that I'm truly greatful.You & ur family will be in my thoughts & prayers along w/all of our wonderful men & women in the military here & abroad.May Elijah's daughter always know what a truly wonderful, thoughtful, & honorable man her father was & how greatful we all are for the huge sacrifice that her father made for the freedom of all of us.We're all forever greatful & indebted to him.He was truly one of the great ones.My God Bless him & your family.
 
My God bless and keep you and your family in this time of loss. I do not know you, but sit here with tears as I think of your loss and pain. Time will help heal the wounds, but nothing I or anyone else can say will remove the overwhelming sense of loss you must be feeling. I salute your son for his service and sacrifice for our country. Thank you for sharing with all of us on THR.
 
RIP young man. There is no society, no Democracy, no civil life, without people of the thin and green blue line willing to make such sacrifices for the greater good.
 
I truly am sorry for you, Sharon, his young wife and child. And I'm extremely grateful for you son and others like him. May he rest in peace and may you, Sharon and family find comfort and grace.

My eyes are tearing up about your son I never knew but deeply respect and regret his death. May my prayers and the Lord be with you and everyone involved including this whole great contry. So sad.
 
I am truly sorry for your loss,it seems as if Elijah was a great man. There is nothing anyone can say to make it better, the pain will never leave completely. I pray for your family, Elijah,and his wife and child. I also thank you for the service of your son, I feel terrible for you and the countless other families that have received terrible news like this.My deepest sympathies,R.L. Bass.

As the parent of a young man serving in harm's way, I can't begin to imagine the grief you must be feeling over the loss of your son. Although I didn't know Elijah I'm nonetheless very proud of him. It's obvious from the comments here he's touched the lives of many. It's as though we've all lost a son. Please accept my condolences and sympathy on your great loss. Heaven is well guarded.
 
I just saw the video, very moving.
Bless you and your family, you are living what so many families of soldiers have sleepless nights over. Words cannot express my sorrow.
