a friend called this morning and ask if i wanted to shoot a few rounds of informal trap with a few friends, as it was just a friendly get together i took my double barrel browning BSS sporter 20ga and just in case it got unfriendly i took my BT-100. with wally world federal 20ga 7/8oz #7.5 i shot two 23-25 rounds with the 20ga browning at 16yds and shot one round with mt BT-100 and shot a 24-25 with the wally world 12ga federal 1-1/8 # 7.5 at 16yds. i would like to shoot a 25-25 with the BSS 20ga and i think i can, but i must remember it shoots pretty flat, and get right on the bird. i think i reverted back to shooting my BT-100 that shoots with a high poi and shot under the birds i missed with the BSS 20ga. but it was a good day with friends with a lot of laughs and fun poking. eastbank.

There ya go!.. I got my butt KICKED today on sporting clays AND FITASC -some my own fault, some the evil target setter's... LOL, bit it was with friends and all good. Even if it was 97 and the heat index was 105 with 90% humidity (ever try breathing through a sopping wet sponge?)

right on, i only shoot for fun and when it is not fun any more i,ll quit. there are five of us, all old friends 60,s-70 and i,m the old goat. we shoot all the clay games and after we shoot we stop and get a little food and drink and rib each other about our shooting, for me it don,t get any better than that. eastbank.

One Ounce every day except today it's been close to 120 with 40% humidity, however we got that rain that had been promised for two weeks this morning, cooled off to mid 80's with humidity at 80%. Needless to say I didn't do any shooting this weekend yet, but I plan on haunting the trap range tomorrow morning bright and early.

Nice Browning BSS 20 with the sporterized stock eastbank. Got one just like it but my stock is a lot lighter in color, they are neat guns to say the least.

40% in NV? Used to live in the Reno area. Would watch the rain streaks start to fall from the sky, but the rain evaporated halfway down to the ground. Damnedest thing I ever saw.

Hot August Nights should be going on in Reno where it'll be a little cooler than 120

Where we've been shooting - besides hot and muggy - there has been ZERO breeze since we are inbetween trees and shrubs, so it is more like a sauna. We drink a LOT of water during these shoots

I tired trapping shooting for the first time. The place provided me a very pretty Beretta over and under 12 gauge. They made it easy and made the clay shoot away from me rather than side to side. I was surprised that I hit the bird the first time then every single one of them, except for 2. 18 out of 20. They were shokced...so was I.:D

I have the twin to your BSS - if you have 28" barrels. Love that gun. Of all the SxS I have had, only that one remains. If Cabela's EVER gets a 28 gauge Dickinson that may change.
Breathing thru a sopping wet sponge? Sissies ! ;) Over here we breathe underwater. Only place I have ever been in my life when you get up in the morning the water is running off the roof like it rained from the dew and it's 80 degrees.

my bss 20ga 3" sporter was bought in 76-77 as a retirement gift for a good friends grandfather and it was passed to his uncle and i bought it from him, it is a 28" barrel with single selective trigger and ejectors, choked full & mod. it is my rabbit-ringneck walking shotgun. i have told my wife to give it to my good friend at my death. i hope i can shoot a 25-25 with it before then. eastbank.

Yep, they're twins, except your stock is shinier than mine. I bought mine new for $460. And THAT is why they call them the good old days. Worth 4 times + that much now. They were going for $2400+ before the economic downturn. There is a silver trigger selective listed as "collector grade", with stock dings, on GunBroker for $2200.
