several weeks ago i got a good deal on this xs skeet 20ga, i wanted to try a lighter shotgun for sporting clays and have now shot five rounds of trap with it useing 7/8 oz #7.5 getting used to it. i shot one 19, two 20,s, one 21 and one 22 out of 25. at the same five rounds of trap with my 12ga browning xt i shot two 23,s, two 24,s and a 25 out of 25. the 20ga has a smaller room for error than my 12ga and i must bare down with the 20ga. and i,m going to shoot a few rounds with #8 shot in the 20ga. i realy like the xs skeet 20ga and after i master the lighter weight i think i,ll get better. eastbank.

Try using different chokes if that helps your mental game. Remember, in International Trap, the targets are faster and physically harder and they use a mandated max of 24 grams (7/8).

There was a lot of whining about dropping the payload from 28 to 24 grams, until they saw their scores going UP. What IS going to take some time to adjust to is the 1# or so less weight and how you move accordingly. I can break 50+ targets with my 3/4oz reloads when I do MY part. "It's the Indian, not the arrow".......give yourself some slack and some time - it'll all come together.
