I couldn't help but be reminded of this, what a little trooper.
If your boy has an affection for big guns now, I'd suggest investing in a couple black powder guns. Perhaps a rifle and revolver. Reloading slows down the consumption of ammo and gives thing time to start hurting, and it's cheaper than fixed ammo.
+1 on limiting his "Big Gun time", till he's a little more developed.
My 10 yr old granddaughter told me a few weekends ago after returning from the range...
"Grandpa, I like the Sig Sauer better than the Glock"
God help me, where do I go from here!
Should have seen the dirty look my son gave me when he asked how much my Custom P220 cost me, since her birthday is coming up...
I had to chuckle...talk about creating a monster!
That great OS! Spending time with your kids is always a great thing. I bought a .22 bolt for my son at 5 and he loves to go out shooting. Guns are a great way to show responsibility to a child while showing them a good time. Kids look up to their fathers a lot and guns are at first mysterious to them. Taking them out and teaching them how to shoot is a great bonding time for both parent and child.
