Thats right, just got back from shooting the Kimber Pro Carry that I acquired this week.

All I can say is WOW. Very enjoyable gun to shoot. 100 Rounds of FMJ WW box and 40 Rounds of Speer Gold Dot 200 gr +P.

All rounds went off without a hitch.

Trigger is sweet. I think I still like my Browning Hi-Power trigger a bit better but this one on the Kimber is gonna be nice for CCW.

Only mods done to this pistol is an Ambi-Safety, Hogue finger groove grips (sorry guys, I have a thing for finger groove grips) and a Wilson Combat 8 Round magazine.

Didnt keep the target today but accuracy was pretty good. Kept all 140 shots inside the 9 ring at 20 yds. Sights were easy to see. Recoil wasnt bad at all. Compared to my 10MM it was rather smooth.

So, whats the plans on this. I plan on having the Kimber take over as my primary CCW as soon as a put a few hundred more rounds thru it and change the recoil spring with at Wolff spring. That is on the way now. Just ordered a few of them.

The Kimber will ride in the Galco Royal Guard in the picture. Carry ammo is gonna be most likely the Speer Gold Dot JHP 200 gr +P for now.

I'll be there Sat morning at 0900 browsing as well. Maybe I'll see you there.

Not unless you see my spirit browsing the aisles! :D I won't be able to go until Sunday morning, since I work Friday and Saturday night. A 12 hour shift just doesn't play friendly if I want to stay up Saturday morning. :(

On a side note, did you see the Rally Point thread? I guess there is a desert shoot planned, think you can make it?

I want to hate Kimber. I really do. Maybe it's how cocky they come off in their catalogs. Maybe it's because every dumbass at the range likes to tell me that if it's not a Kimber it's just some other piece of crap. But still, I've shot a Kimber and loved it. Very nice gun with an excellent feel. Congratulations, Lennyjoe. Keep us posted.

Absolutely!! If I can get the details. I didnt see the thread anywhere. Point me in the right direction if you could.

I'm still not sold on Kimber. I think I'll stick with my simple springer!!
I'll let you shoot my Kimber at the get toghether if you make it and then we'll see;)

Not many people can say that with a straight face.
I've done some work to the Hi-Power trigger since I got it. Got it just the way I like it.

Im gonna take it out this weekend and put a couple hundred more thru with different ammo. WIll keep ya posted.

Got the link thanks.

I put another 120 rounds thru it today.

230gr FMJ WWB was dead on at 20 yds.

The Gold Dot JHP 200gr JHP was about 1" right of bull at 20 yds.
