Ok, I really think I need help because I'm doing things I never thought I would. it all started when I decided to buy a used Glock 19 (Swore I'd never buy a Glock) a few months ago.
I have decided that Glock puts some chemicals in the plastic that is some type of addictive drug because at my last range trip I decided I like the Glock more then my beloved Walther P99. Mainly it's the trigger in the P99 that I've decided is the cause but because of that and some other points I considered selling the P99. The drugs must have worn off because I've come to my senses since then (Glad I didn't list the P99 for sale right away) but I'm afraid my next range trip will cause more of these feelings to happen, I'm considering wearing plastic gloves and storing the Glock as a Biohazard to stop this!
Points I started to think about:
Trigger - Glock trigger is much nicer, even with the P99 in SA mode. It makes me nervous when not holstered because it is so light and there is no safety so I tend to keep it in the nightstand without a round chambered but I have no problem with wearing it in a holster all day.
Magazines - P99 holds one more round (16 vs. 15) but with the mags costing over $40 each and hard to find locally the G19 wins hands down.
Accessories - The Walther P99 uses a special rail that leaves no options for lights except the Walther one, The Glock fits a whole range of items and I already bought an M3 for it. You can also find a Glock holster from every manufacture out there and in any style you could imagine! P99 holsters are out there, but tend to cost a little more and no one locally caries them in stock (I like to at least look at a holster before I buy it).
Someone tell me I’m not going insane! The only good thing that could come of this is I was going to buy a Kimber 1911 with the money I got if I sold the P99.
