Guys, I need your help.....Since I bought my m581 (22 LR) rifle, it doesnt feed well. Actually, thats an understatement, as the bolt picks up a round, and it enters the chamber, the round seems to get stuck in an angled position, partially in the chamber. Even applying alot of pressure forward to the bolt, doesnt make it chamber. No matter what ammo I use, it does this. Any solutions? Thanks-

Did you clean it before firing the first time? It sounds like there is either crud on the bolt face or (less likely) a very rough spot.
Guns are shipped pretty well oiled for long term storage and need a pretty thourough cleaning (including the chamber and barrel) before the first use.
The next issue might be the type of ammunition. Try several brands of both high velocity and standard velocity.

Have you tried different types of ammo?
Reason I ask is I had similar problems with an old remington 121 fieldmaster. It would feed everything but remington yellowjackets. They wouldn't lift high enough coming off the magazine to slide into the chamber, instead they hung up at a low angle and hit the lower edge of the chamber.
I tried cleaning it, taking it apart a dozen different times trying to find something wrong, and cleaning it some more. Finally I took out a cartridge I knew it would feed, and a yellow jacket and got to comparing them with a micrometer. The rim on the yellow jacket was a good bit thicker.
I don't know if thats a standard thing, or that batch of brass, but the gun absolutely wouldn't feed that box of shells, and it ate every other type I tried putting in it.
I don't know if its wear on the gun that prevents it from working with a rim of that thickness, or if its just a difference of spec from when the gun was made. It wouldn't work though, and the simple fix was just to buy a different kind of ammo :D
