I need some advice on how much to charge. If I do sell them it will be through private sales, I know I won't get much if I sell to a dealer.

I'd also like to know if you guys think it's a bad idea selling guns with the possibility of bans in the near future?

Anyway here is a list of the ones I want to sell.

Colt AR-15 match target HBAR 20" barrel (post-ban)

Colt AR-15 A2 Sporter 20" barrel (pre-ban)

And about 43 30rd magazines most of them still sealed in plastic

I bought them used so I don't know the total round count, but I've put about 300 rds through the sporter and 200 to 300 through the HBAR.

S&W Model 459 9mm, I bought it used, again total round count unknown, but I've put about 250 rds through it.

S&W Nickel plated Model 29-3 6" barrel .44 magnum. Original box and papers also a cleaning rod which I assume is from S&W. Again I bought it used but it's in very good condition I've put about 36 rds of .44 magnum through it and about 18 rds of .44 special.

S&W Nickel plated M&P Model 10-7 with a 2" barrel. I have never shot this one but it was used when I bought it, I was told it had only been shot a couple times. It's in beautiful condition! It has the original box and papers.

Beretta Model 92fs Inox with original box and papers. I bought this new; it has had about 400 possibly a little more.

Springfield Armory 1911 GI stainless, 4 magazines, original box and papers. I bought this one new; it's had about 300 rds through it.

Thanks.

Go to Gunbroker.com and search for similar guns. Look at the closed auctions to see which ones actually sold. That'll give you a pretty good idea of current prices.

Most gun shops will give you a pretty fair appraisal, just make it clear you are wanting to know resale value, not trade in value. Gun Broker is also a good reference guide for prices.

The handguns you can always replace later. But no way would i sell those AR's. Or the magazines. If the Dems reclaim the White House next election, a new AWB will not be to far behind.

DO IT! I'll give you $1,000 for the whole kit and kaboodle and can be there in an hour!

Seriously though if you decide on parting with the AR's, PM me and let me know. I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on one, and am in Delco, so we could do it face to face.

I've sold quite a few guns I didn't need/like and certainly don't regret it one bit.

But, keep one of the AR's and any firearms that can't be replaced later on, ie heirlooms or rare pieces.

EDIT: Keep the magazines. They might be worth quite a bit here soon.

If you want to make some money, wait a bit. Prices on the Semi-Auto "Assault" guns shot up in the buying frenzy just before the clinton gun ban. I had a friend who made out very well selling a few tec 9s, sks'es and Aks before the ban kicked in.
People have been stockpiling these things since it became obvious that the gun banners were about to retake congress but the real run on them is still a way down the road.
