Anyone catch their new show on Showtime?

Its called BullS...!

If the F word and the BS word offend you, do not bother.

However, they did a really good job of exposing PETA and what they are all about. Whats cool is that they really know how to twist the knife. Too many times, people expose leftists and then pull the punch at the end - woa, not these guys and boy was it refreshing.

Very funny, entertaining and informative.

I remember during the debate on McCain-Feingold, Penn was one of the few celebrities to come out against it.

His basic take was along the lines that he can get his opinion out anytime he wants; simply because he's famous, news organizations will report what he says. But they won't report what John Q. Public says, and if JQP can't get together with his friends to buy advertising, he won't have a voice.

I too saw this particular episode. I'd read a couple of things about the show last season, and had planned to catch it, but wasn't prepared for the onslaught of truth released by those two.

It was the sort of show that would come across as borderline slanderous, except that for every accusation that they leveled they backed it up with documentation and facts. What was so cool about the show is that these two guys, or at least Penn, are absolutely livid at the lies, fabrications, and downright BS that people buy into.

Absolutely fantastic show.
Not for kids though, there is quite a bit of swearing.

Just absolutely freaking genius from the word go.

These two are good, saw most of last season's stuff.

Saw another show a few months back that did a nice and gentle work-over on PETA. I thought that ad with Rudy Giulani was shocking. Am I right in saying this show they seek to prove links between PETA and arsonists?

If I recall some were pushing for the removal of tax-exempt charitable status from PETA?

Penn and Teller for President!

Well, mostly kidding...

Their show is indeed a work of genius, and a labor of love.

Sort of like John Stossel on steroids.

They are also not afraid to take on PC things, like smoking bans.

I'm just waiting to see a show on gun control laws!

edited to add - this is actually the 2nd season of the show. Last year they took on environmentalism, millenialism, self-help, ESP, and spiritualists, among other things.

I've always thought P&T were cool, but now it's official.

John Stossel is great! I just read straight through half of his book yesterday and it's a breath of fresh air. Funny, not overbearing in the least, and repleat with examples and funny stories. I want to buy a dozen paperbacks and send them to everyone I know that thinks government and "public-interest" groups should run everything. (it's only about 280 fast pages, though, so I just got it from the library).

sorry about the plug,

Did you see the episode before the PETA one? I think it was about public health and safety or something. Anyway, as soon as the show started, Teller stuffs a Walther P99 in his waist! Awesome! I think if we all write to them, maybe we can get them to expose the gun banners.
