Me personally, though I'd LOVE to have a 50 (preferably ma deuce !!!), I'd probably take $5,000 and go on a shopping spree instead of just one toy. That'd be a great vest with plates, tons of mags, ammo, multiple firearms and maybe even a course or two (or maybe a decent safe)

I had some youth over this past weekend, they all loved the 338 Lapua and 50 BMG.

i recommend to use those $7000 to get the following....

1. 5 ar-15 lowers including an AR Pistol lower
2. 5 ar uppers
a) M4gray upper
b) Full Lenght rifle
c) Varmint upper
d) .50bmg upper
e) ar-pistol upper

you will have around $3000 left...

get a good scope for the .50bmg upper & varmint upper... and now you have 1000 left for ammo....

and now you have an good AR collection

ArmaLite AR-50. Great bang for buck

That's the route I went. I'd have loved an M-82, but the Armalite gets you into the .50 game for under $3k with a very accurate and sweet shooting rifle. Recoil is like a 12 gauge heavy field load.



If you just have to have a semi-auto, then that's what you gotta do. But if you can live with a single shot, the AR-50 will suit you very well and leave plenty of cash for other toys.
