I want a Tokarev!

I want a TT-33 style Tokarev pistol in 7.62x25mm. Problem is, I can't find any; the Polish Toks that SOG had awhile ago seem to have all dried up and disappeared. Searches on the big three auction sights bring back only Norinco 9mm Tokarevs, which I have no use for.

So, what, did all the 7.62mm Tokarevs fall off the planet, or what?

I don't want to have to settle for a CZ-52.

Man, and you really want a Russian or a Polska one, too. There are plenty of 7.62x25 Norinco Toks floating around (just keep an eye out at gun shows), but you want a good one. The Russian ones w/o safeties that popped up about three years ago were very nice, just outstanding. They were also pricey at the time, so I can only imagine that's gotten worse. The Polish ones have a smarter safety (see the Cruffler.com review) and are very high quality pistols. I have one, and the only thing I can say negative about it is that the steel seems to want to rust more than most steel. Man, it's a neat gun, though.

You know, head over to gunboards.com and post a want ad. They are serious Crufflers, and many of those guys have what you want along with a need for more cash to support their habit of buying whatever neat that the SovBloc released this week.

Some of those Toks can get pricey! I bought a new Yugo Tok (non import, no safety, 9 round mag,9mm) for $250 , I think , a few years ago. I really don't see any thing wrong with the Chinese ones , and they are cheap! I have seen them on Auction arms for $250-300 for a real Russian one!

I passed on a Russian one with no safety at an antique shop for $200.. should have bought it.
