Just sing aloud in the shower, preferably "YMCA", any intruder will run scared sh@tless.

Seriously though, if I were so concerned with someone invading my house why I am in the shower, I'd just turn the alarm on. As long as you have motion control units throughout the house, you should get enough prior warning to get to your gun.

Now, if you're on the toilet, it becomes interesting... it's not like running out of the shower naked and dripping. Now you have to do some serious soul searching after the fact..

OK ~ Here ya go and why

I don't keep a gun in the bathroom all the time but I have been known to take one in there when I'm home alone. I'm not really set on a particular one, sometimes .357 snub, sometimes the 1911. My bathroom is rather small tho so I don't take the shotgun or AK with me into there. Normally I just lay it on the counter and cover it with a towel and make sure the exhaust fan is running. No alarm or dogs in my house but I keep the doors locked and I lock the bathroom door anytime I go in there.

As far as jumping out of the shower wet and soapy and running across the hall to my bedroom I hope I never have to do that in a real panic. Tile bathroom floors and hardwood floors in the ball and bedroom are very slippery when wet. In my younger and dumber days a couple times I found myself feet straight up head and rear-end impacting the floor due to it being wet.

So if you need an excuse to buy a hi-point I see nothing wrong with keeping it in the bathroom. Of course you could always get a nice nickel or stainless revolver too if you need an excuse for a fancier gun.

You need this:

When I was 13 or so, some friends of mine and I were horsing around with a spear gun. I went home, eventually, and one of them later ended up being shot in the thigh. The spear went clear through, lightly scratching his bone along the way. At close distances, this thing can be very deadly.
