Hey all,
I just wanted to post one of my first Iaitos I started training with. Obviousally it doesn't have an edge because it's not a Shinken. This darn thing has been through a lot. There are many nicks in the blades. Near the kissaki you can see one that needs to be filed down. I was practicing my cuts in the air at a friends Dojo, and he had a chain hanging down slightly from the cealing used for a heavy bag. WHAM! It shocked me at first, but I was proud that it didn't bend my sword

Also, there are some nicks from doing blade on blade Katachi
