I am now hunting with a savage .270 model 110 with an accu-trigger. Just curious to know if the accu-trigger would make any differance as far as accuracy and consistancy?
That's the whole idea behind the Accu-Trigger. It's a user adjustable trigger that has the feel of high end aftermarket triggers. I bought a Savage Mark II .22LR with an Accu-Trigger and like said above, it's a huge improvement over previous Savage triggers. The Accu-Trigger is probably the best factory trigger now available on any out of the box rifle. (even slightly better than the current Remington trigger, IMO of course)Just curious to know if the accu-trigger would make any differance as far as accuracy and consistancy?
I like the trigger in my other(earlier) Savage just fine. Off the shelf it was a bit draggy & sought but after adjusting it works great. There is two screws to adjust or the safety won't work.Anyone who had a early-mid nineties savage can explain why I bought the aftermarket trigger.
I have a Savage 10 FCP HS-Precision with an Accutrigger and I would not state that the safety is in the trigger. If I did, I would be somewhat puzzled as to what to do with the tang mounted safety....the one that covers and uncovers the big red dot and so allows you to fire or not fire the rifle.I don't have a accutrigger but I like the ones I've tried in the stores & can't even fell the safety is in the trigger.
