Alright I was at my favorite gunshop today and noticed an ammo can on the top shelf so I pulled it down to find a couple of varying boxes of 8x57 mauser. The shop owner told me he had them for around 15 years and had no idea where they originated from, so he told me I could have them for $1 a box for seven boxes. I told him if I found out they where worth more than that I would bring them back for my $7 and he could sell them for however much they are worth. I don't have my camera on me but will get some pics up later but for now here is whats on the box

5 have this

WYTW. AM. No1
NB.MAUSER.KAL7,9 WzP
DO KM PARTJA No145
DATA VIII 1937

the casing is marked 67 N 36

one has this

WYTW. AM. No1
7,9 m/m NABOJE Wz.P.
DO KM PARTIA No 27
DATA SCAL V 1938 B.

the casing is marked 67 N 35

and the last one is almost illegible but I will get it as close as I can

Z.A OCCISK" S.A.
7.9m/m naboje ,,Sc"
do k.m.
Partja 35
Date elabort 15 GRUD 1933

casing is marked 67 PK 37 Dz

I do not plan on shooting any of this I just bought it just because he said a dollar a box. and the last box I mentioned is .318, while the rest is .322

I will get pics of the base so you can tell the factory and all.

Sounds like old Polish surplus corrosive primed 8mm Mauser ammo from the early stages of WWII.

I'd say a dollar a box is about right.
