I bought a few boxes of 7.62X54 from a local shop that was dirt cheap and worked really well in my M44. But now he's out and isn't getting any more. I would like to get a few cases of it, but he told me it was Yugoslavian. I don't think the yugo's ever used the 7.62X54 so I don't know why they would make the ammo. I was hoping someone on board could help out. It comes in cardboard boxes of 15rds. The lable on the box is kinda like this...
15 KOMaAa
7,62 mm METAK
CAAAKHM 3PHOM M908 (c)
IIIIY 6704,P HIIA-02/P
MbA 6704
The case rim is marked with 188 at the 12 o'clock position and 46 at the 6 o'clock.
Any ideas?
