Your Model 649 .38 Bodyguard Stainless was manufactured in 1984. As the Model 649 was released in 1985, yours must be one of the first.

slimpickens:
The Model 629-6 sounds like one of three special runs for RSR distributors in 2003, these were respectively:
Model 629-6 Trail Boss Unfluted, 3 inch barrel, red ramp, white outline, Hogue grip, satin stainless, internal lock, unfluted cylinder, smooth trigger, semi-target hammer, lanyard loop.
Model 629-6 Trail Boss Fluted, 3 inch magna-ported barrel, red ramp, white outline, Hogue grip, satin stainless, internal lock, fluted cylinder, smooth trigger, semi-target hammer, lanyard loop.
Model 629-6 Trail Boss Deluxe Anniversary, 3 inch Magna-ported barrel, red ramp, white outline, Altamont wood grips, bright polished stainless, internal lock, fluted cylinder, smooth trigger, semi-target hammer, aluminum case.

It may be a later build however, as the 2003 serial range was roughly CFSxxxx to CHDxxxx, although special runs tended to run out of serial number order.

The Model 624 Lew Horton Special was produced 1985-1987, with 5000 manufactured. Know serial ranges were AHTxxxx & ALWxxxx. My guess is 1986 year of manufacture for your gun, but possibly shipping 1987.

S&M 29-2 date of mfg

Looking for date of mfg ?

a) .44 mag - caliber
b) 8 3/8" - bbl length (from cylinder to muzzle)
c) square - grips shape (round or square)
d) 6 - number of shots/cylinder bores
e) adj rear sights - type of sights.
f) 3313011 - serial number, and if there is a letter in front of or anywhere near the s/n on the bottom of the grip
g) 29-2 - Model number if it is under the crane.
That number, if it is the s/n, should come from the butt of the grip (or under the barrel or face of the cylinder).
Thanks

The Model29-2 .44 Magnum was manufactured from 1962 to 1992. Serial numbers had either an S or an N prefix.
If the serial number is S313011, then it was manufactured 1968 or 1969 in the serial range S305000 to S329999.
If the serial number is N313011, then it was manufactured in 1975 or 1976, with 1975 being more likely.

Brian Adams:
The Model 13-3 .357 Magnum Military & Police Heavy Barrel was manufactured from 1982 to 1988. The serial number should be in the ranges 9D44501 to 30D9291, or AAA0000 to BBTxxxx. The number you have quoted does not match those and may be an assembly number, used to track parts in the factory. Check the number on the bottom of the grip frame and get back to me.

Your Model 19-3 Combat Magnum was manufactured in 1976.

Your 3rd gun if marked ".38 S&W Special CTG" is a .38 Military & Police Model of 1905 4th Change manufactured in 1930 or 1931. Serial number 632132 shipped in January 1931.
If marked ".38 S&W CTG" then it is a .38/200 British Service Revolver manufactured in 1940 using an old stockpiled frame.

Mr. Radagast,
The number on the bottom of 13-3 is ACE7720

Your Model 686-4 Distinguished Combat Magnum Stainless was manufactured in 1993.
Your Model 686-6 Distinguished Combat Magnum Stainless was manufactured after 2004, which is the last year that the Standard Catalog of S&W gives serial ranges for. My guesstimate is around 2010, but a call to S&W customer service should give you the shipping date - it was manufactured well after they went to computer records.

TwoWheelFiend:
No Need. Your Model of 1953 .22/.32 Kit Gun / Model 34-1 was manufactured between 1965 & 1969, serial range for those years was 108087 to 135464.
If the grips are original and have a un-checkered diamond around the grip screws, the 1968 or earlier. If no diamond then 1968 or 1969.
If the cylinder release is flat, the 1965 or 1966. If the cylinder release is concave then 1966 to 1968.
