Hi guys am am looking into getting involved in some competetion shooting sports. The problem is i cant find any clubs or ranges that have IDPA/IPSC competetions in my area. I am located in the panhandle of WV and dont mind traveling within an 1-1.5 hours away from home. The closer to home the better though.

Any information you fine people can give me would be very appreciated.

Edit also looking in MD. Sorry i missed that one.

Your best bet may be Chambersburg Pistol & Rifle Club. I can forward to you the MD's email if you're interested. I guest S.O. there from time to time.

Thurmont, MD holds monthly IDPA matches, but they're Tuesday afternoons which is weird. And you can't carry in MD, for what that's worth.

There's also Adams County Sport Handgunners, near York Springs, PA does IDPA-style matches.

And you're always welcomed to come up to my club in Lewisberry, PA. I'm MD at West Shore Sportsmen's Association and we hold a 6-stage IDPA match (plus some kind of side match) the first Sunday of each month, March - November. Might be a bit of a drive as we're just south of Harrisburg.

You can always go to http://www.idpa.com/clubs.asp and look under club info for your state and PA.

I can also PM you contact info for a weekly IDPA match newsletter that lets you know everything going on in the eastern part of the state, NY, and NJ. Let me know if you want that info.

DevilDog, I too would like to get into competition, primarily 3 Gun. I found a thread a while back, maybe from The firing Line, about a range off Lee Town Pike near the fairgrounds in Charles Town. They said they did 3 Gun there so I'm sure there's other matchs. I became distracted for a while but am starting to research this further. I'll post up any findings I come across.

It may be a bit far for you to drive but this club puts on some outstanding multigun matches:

www.pcsirange.com

It's in Circleville, OH. I drive 3 hours, one way, to get there and I've never been disappointed. The first '10 match will be in April.
