That was my first thought. You would have a veritable arsenal, not just the kind of collection the media labels as one.

How about video games?
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series
Crysis + Warhead
Max Payne 1+2

These three franchises feature almost entirely real (or at least plausible firearms for the near future in Crysis) weaponry.
There are some exceptions like the Gauss Rifle in Stalker and the Rail Gun/Alien Ice Gun in Crysis.
