what would it be!?! We were pondering this question at my local sportsman's club last week. Hopefully, it will be interesting to see what you guys choose. Remember, only one gun!

I'm still thinking myself. Hmm, only one... :uhoh:

I think this would be my one gun. Hunting, targets and self defense. The classic, one and only, Ithaca Model 37 Featherlight in 12ga... :)

For me that's easy. I don't hunt anymore because of health reasons & the only shotgun that I have a use for anymore is my Rem 870 express with the 18 barrel, extended mag tube, accessory rails for the tacticool stuff like a light and sling. I'm happy as a fly on the crap my wife keeps giving me.

A Mossy 500 20ga with an 18" barrel, it's all I need. I use it for everything (don't laugh) and it works very well.

That's an easy one for me becuase I only own one shotgun and I don't hunt anymore. Browning Citori. :D

I'm gonna have to say my Saiga 12. Adaptable to almost any situation weather it be trap, skeet, clays, HD, tactical, or classic. I like it alot.

It kills me to give up my O/Us but the one gun I would keep would be a Beretta 391. I have great confidence in the gun and it has been a long proven design.

Only one

Benelli SBE, left hand. Got one of the second generation camo lefties, it'll shoot anything I feed it from 2 3/4 trap loads to 3 1/2 tungsten without so much as a burp. Not the best trap or bird gun, but it'll kill any duck or goose I care to point it at, so long as I do my part. It'll tear down in the dark and reassemble without issue.

Granted, I own 6 shotguns, and while there is no perfect gun for all applications, if the requirement is "only one", that'd be my "go to".

Just one shotgun... in my opinion, it'd have to be a pump, and it'd have to be a 3.5" chamber just to squeeze as much possible versatility out of the weapon.

It'd either be an 870 express super mag, or a Benelli Supernova. Leaning towards the 870 just because it's easier to put it in whatever configuration I'd want it in. Plus, I actually have one.

I have absolutely no experience with the 887 other than handling it at the SHOT show, so I wouldn't choose that one as of yet.

I would keep my dads rem. 1100 left hand. I had given the gun to him for his 50th. birthday. and since I am the only other left hander in the family I was given the gun after his passing 17 years ago at age 74.

Easy, Remington 870 express tactical with a bag of chokes and a pistol grip stock. That is my do-everything gun and as soon as I scoop up the 450 bucks to get it, it will be here at the house :)

My current 870 12 GA. Had it for going on 20 years, and haven't had a problem with it yet. Has a 3" receiver, and if I need to change it's purpose, all I need to do is put a different barrel on it.

I adore semi-autos. They're just so simple. Push in more shells than you shoot off and you can shoot all week. Shoot one, load one. You shot three? Load three. It's all good, until something hangs up in there.

If I could have only one it would have to be a pump gun. A fouled action can be defeated by the energy of the user. Strong language may help. I am not certain, for I have never cleared a jam without verbal embellishment.

At the moment I only have one 870 Express. I might get another couple to have different configurations. Maybe one day when I'm rich I'll get a Citori or something like that. (I know I'm a tastleless Philistine and I don't know what I'm missing.)
