If you could only have one press for everything what would it be ?

Because I shoot a lot of handgun ammo I will choose the Lee Classic Turret press. If I were only shooting rifle ammo it would be my RCBS Rockchucker.

If I could only have one, I would need it to be a magical press. One that you would never have to take out of the box. Just open the box and dump your stuff into it, then turn it upside down and dump out all of the different loaded rounds.

I am not sure what one would cost but it likely would have saved me money over the years.

I wouldn't even want to be stuck with just one Dillon, much less just one press.

Redding T-7 , I plain on getting one to free up some bench space , it will take the place of the 2 presses and my powder mesure stand , that are on my bench now,

I do alot of loading so it would have to be a progressive. Probably a 550 dillon because it can be used easily as a single stage press if you want and its fast enough to give some progressives a good run for there money and its RELIABLE

I only have one press and that is the RCBS Rock Chucker II. It has served well for over thirty some years and almost 700000 rounds, completed rounds. RCBS is beyond compare in building and servicing their equipment. I need no other.

I own a LCT and Lee says it's the press that can do everything. Dillons are sturdy, true, but... can my LCT or a Dillon 550 really withstand the stress of full length sizing of rifle cases?.

Just asking.

LCT, there is nothing else as versatile while at the same time being so uncomplicated.

Yes, it will FLS most any rifle case outside of BMG(It has around 4 inches of clearance if I recall). The linkages/toggles and base is basically the same beefy stuff as the classic cast o-frame.
If you are going to do something like 300 magnum you have to pull the index rod out and manually index though(Tall cases won't clear the die before it will start advancing.).

Boy, this is a toughy.

Just one ? and only one ?

I'd have to go with my load-all.

I can do anything I would ever really NEED to do with a 12 ga, and I can't imagine the world ending without being able to reload for it.

a old single stage press, like texas star and/or lyman. build like a rock and will last for years. they will still be going when my dillons are not.

Before I had the space to remount my Rockchucker on a bench I had only the Lee Classic Turret setup. I can not count the number of 30-06, 30-30, 45-70 and a few other rifle cartridges I have loaded on the LCT. I remove the auto-index rod and use it as a single stage except all the dies are setup in the turret. I never had a problem resizing 30-06 cases and I load for the M1 Garand so you know I load a lot of 30-06 rounds! I almost didn't bother to set up the RCBS press again.
