    What would it be?
For me it would be the Ruger SP101 2 or 3 inch .357
Small enough to carry but enough power for almost any situation.

Geez, why not shoot high here? How about a first generation Colt SAA in brand spanking new condition? A Colt Walker in similar condition wouldn't be a bad choice, either. :)

OK, for a REALISTIC option.... :D.... and if you mean taken from the present collection then it would be a tossup between my M28 and the M19. Um.... Actually for some ill concieved reason I think I'd keep the M28 Highway Patrolman. It's just more intimadating and in a pinch it's heavy enough to drive nails to make up a new house out in the stix.

Not brand-picky, as I have little experience with three-inchers, but, yeah, I'd like a three-inch DA revolver in .38+P or .357.
Or... I'd leave SD/HD to an autoloader, and get a .22LR revolver for the "fun" factor (of course, I could reverse that, and use a .22LR autoloader for that, and the wheelie for SD/HD.)

Are you buying? If so, I'll have a stainless Ruger GP 100 with the 4" half-lug barrel.

    I'd say a blued S&W 581 (or 586) with a 4" bbl.

Only One? . . :uhoh: . That would be a tough call between a S&W Registered Magnum and a Colt SAA 1st Gen. early smokeless. . both in excellent condition of course. . I'd buy the Registered magnum first and then the Colt SAA. . . or maybe the other way around? .:)

The .600 nitro express revolver cast out of solid gold and encrusted with rubies(as long as I can have as many automatics as I want).

Hmm, I certainly understand the sentiment for the .357 revolvers but I would still probably take my 4" 610. In fact it is the only revolver that I own.

I'll have to agree w/ BCRider....I purchased an early S&W M28 a while back, and it is a sweet shooting piece. Gets my vote for the lone keeper.

The only revolver I owned for a while was a Ruger SP101, 2" barrel. Knowing what I know now I'd rather own a Smith model 60 with a 3" barrel. It would cover most of the bases: somewhat shootable, concealable on a belt, and halfway decent as a trail gun.

If I ended up moving back to Alaska, I'd amend that to either a 3" model 629 or the 329PD.

How about making that one-shot kill on a deer @ 75 yds?

    Since I reload, I'd choose a 6" S&W Model 29.

    For carry, I pack semi-autos !

Hmmm. Once again I would starve to death at the opening of my safe trying to decide which one I had to live forever with in an "only one" thread.

    I'd keep my 3-inch model 65 S&W.

This is a tough one, I'd really like to have a 686 cs-1 however I happen to already have a gp100 4" that I love and would never want to part with however for practicality reasons I think I'd go with a s&w 649 no lock

    Only ONE revolver??
It would certainly be my vintage K-38 Full Target.
When I got it I was as poor as a Churchmouse and ONLY thru some wheeler dealing was I able to get it.
The piece has served me well over the years.
