Whats wrong with not wanting total strangers in your home?
Maybe you're cool with uninvited guests, but I dont want anybody in my house that I dont know about.

I want to cover my butt legally, but I would also like to have a legal reason to keep my landlord from allowing them access to my home.
Being able to communicate with the people in your apartment is valid. They should also have a written work order as well.I would feel better if I knew I wasnt paying to aid illegal's and I would also feel better if I could communicate with someone I found in my apartment.
I know they are not citizens, and my landlord was not able to confirm or deny that they have green cards.
They obviously dont care about our laws, that is at least one step in the wrong direction.

I cant ask them, why are they here, what they are doing, or even who they work for. I know they are not citizens, and my landlord was not able to confirm or deny that they have green cards.
Originally posted by SamTuckerMTNMAN: Have them arrested for breaking and entering or trespassing and just let the police and landlord work out the details - why they were there, who they were, etc. Even if they don't get taken anywhere you have a right to be concerned about people in your apt regardless of nationality or race. In NC it's illegal IT DOESNT MATTER WHETHER YOU RENT OR OWN the laws are still the same regarding your abode. Apartments may be different, but I rent a house and it's against the law for my landlord to just come in, let alone some dudes.
