Illegal prostitution OK!,legal gun selling? no way!

Is an internet bulletin board service in SF and probably your town as well.
They have a rather weird policy,you can buy or sell anything on the craigslist website,including underage boys and girls.(look in the "erotic services" section)
It hardly seems fair to me,letting children get exploited by the dirty dezinens of the www,(craigslist.org does not check for age)while denying regular citizens selling or buying guns.
While I personally don't like this progressive pimp Craig Newmark who owns Craigslist,I had no problem with him deciding what to allow on his website. But he is also an avowed anti gunner with bucks and influence in CA politics. So my question to you guys,especially LE, is just how is it ok for this guy to have prostitution on his website? Isn't pandering across state lines thru the www a Federal crime?
Do I just make a report to the FBI or something?

I just don't like pimping $ being used to prevent gun ownership.
 
You probably posted at the wrong forum. Apparently alot, if not most, people here have no problem with the activities described here. After all who are we to deny somebody their personal freedoms
 
I know liberals/libertarians are for decriminalizing of prostitutiion, but I think the "buying and selling of underage boys and girls" is not something widely supported here.

I am not familiar with craiglist so I do not really know if that is what is going on but that is what gunsmith says is happening.
 
i looked around and did not see anything underage.

How much for the little girl? The women! How much for the women!
 
I was wrong. It does advertise outcall hookers and such but nothing to imply underage activities

The erotic services has a high volume of traffic,so the (so called) barely legal,i.e kids you have to look for it.
craigs does not check for age.
SF has had a big problem with teen sexploitation.
Why should illegal teen sexploitation $$$ be used to promote anti gun
agendas with out a fight?

Unless you can provide an example of child trafficking your claims will be dismissed as crazy rambling. As for the FBI, craigslist has been around for years and I highly doubt that they aren't aware of it by now.
 
After spending an uncomfortable length of time browsing the aforementioned list i found a LOT of funny adds and some thinly veiled (if veiled at all) adds for escort type services.

While illegal I'm not going to get too excited about excort services assuming that they involve consenting adults and there was nothing in the adds to imply other than that.

It does very LITTLE for one's credibility to openly 'cry wolf' and accuse someone of commiting a FAR greater crime than what is actually the case. In fact it is along the lines of the very people we are arguing with. Accusing this site of "buying and selling children" is no different than implying that an SKS is a fully automatic assault weapon.

The transmission rates of HIV from Females to Males from intercourse are actually QUITE low.

Withought resorting to unwaranted personal attacks, I can say that every single person I have been involved with in buisness or friendship who was a purveyor of Craigslist has turned out rotten (all have stolen from me or caused me other pre-meditated harm.)

While I have no problem with prostitution amoungst adults, children are an exception.

18 is an arbitrary point to draw the line, but it is as good as any other way out there.
 
just come to my state. The gun laws are far more relaxed and prostitution is legal and monitored by the state. ;)

There was a guy in Berkely (Balireddy,Lakireddy) who smuggled a 15 yr old girl from India raped her all the time and forced her to work in his restaurant. She died. He was hardly prosecuted and his co smuggler didn't recieve any jail time.
craigslist.org has lots of these asian massage ads and Craig Newmark owner of craigslist is getting rich and using his money and influence to take away RKBA.
If two consenting adults enter into an economic contract with each other,I say fine! I have not heard of any anti gun brothels in NV where this kind of activity is allowed.

I'm not saying we can change the whole world,but when "Progressive Pimps" use their money to fight RKBA I feel we should at least take notice.
 
I agree that that we should not give anti gun types our money to use against us but making unsubstantiated, presumptuous accusations based on the fact that the girls are Asian or the add says barely legal or gives an age of 18 just undermines our integrity in the eyes of others just as the same actions by the antis does with us.

Have you ever watched a "Barley Legal" tape or any of the Just 18 type tapes some of those teen agers are in their 30s

A friend from High School sent me a URL for a site featuring a "Barely 18" girl about 5 years ago. It was an old HS girlfriend, and I'm 42 you do the math.

I spent a few days looking over the ad's and some were suspicious enough to me to warrant a look,SF has had 13/14/15 year old protitutes
of both genders walking the streets,SFPD has cleaned it up quite a bit,now PC savy pimps are using craigslist.

At any rate, he's not the person promoting prostitution, and i'm fairly certain owners of sites aren't responsible for what readers do.

I don't want to get off-topic here, but there have been many arguements both for and against legalizing prositution.

I am not sure about this question. I am interested less in "legal or not" than a more overriding concern:

Let's make it affordable for the working man!:)

Even though I personally find it offensive that you can buy aids and syphillis on craigslist,and that moveon.org can raise money and not the NRA,and that they refuse gun ad's but not pimping ad's. I don't find the anti gun policy inherently evil.
I think allowing the pimping of children evil,I think allowing sex slavery is evil and I think using the money from evil to promote the banning of guns(promoting genocide) to be evil.

I've looked all over craigslist and haven't found any ads offering AIDS or syphilis for sale. I'd like to stock up on a few tubes for SHTF purposes, could you please give me a link to these ads? If the NRA can't raise money, then they have an awful lot of explaining to do for the donation requests they've sent me.

Furthermore, you still haven't provided any proof that they actually have ads that offer underage prostitution. As I said earlier:
