Just thought I would share my first Buck that I have taken with my Tauras 454. 11pt with split brow tine taken 11-23-13. I have taken a lot of deer over the years with gun and bow but this one holds a place in my heart because of using my hand gun. Sorry I could not get the picture to rotate!

I like to hunt with mine too. 17 deer so far. None of mine approach yours in the antler department.

Beautiful deer, congratulations.

Just relating to the thread title.....sucks so far. Cold, windy and a lot of blue tongue dead. Five of us out, one doe. We have been seeing five or more per day through bow season.

My ground is in Fulton County. Normally we hear fifty shots a day during first season. (Not counting the volleys from the river). This year, maybe five on Friday a.m., five or six more p.m. Same Saturday. One three shot flurry which usually means missed shots at a running deer.
Hope it gets better. Freezer is about empty.
Did have nice time with two sons and two nephews. Deer brats on Thursday, smoked ham on Friday, backstraps on Sat, scrapple Sunday morning. (And the nephews bought a new 40" hi def TV for the cabin to go with the dish. (no running water or toilet but we have a microwave, a grille, fridge, wood stove and t.v.)

Our deer pop is way down here in Jasper co also. We arent seeing half the deer of just a few years ago.
Turkey pop way down too. I hear those nasty Bull knats that have been so annoying in the spring have worked on the turkeys. Spring flooding is hard on fawns and turkey chicks too.
