If by some act of God this passes,....It will just force me to buy PVC, cosmoline, and a shovel.....When the Illinois gestapo comes a knock'n the hilly back yard will be blamed on the ever present moles . Just kidding it will be hung in the basement like regular plumbing.

This is a bit of a tangential question, but would there be a ban on .499 caliber firearms that use necked down .50 caliber cartriges?

I would imagine .499BMG or .499-90 sharps would be pretty popular if anyone took the time to make new barrels for them. And you would even get a hair more velocity off of them.
