A lot going on this week as anti-gun Chicago Democrats try to gut HB 997 the Personal and Family Protection Act.

The Chicago Democrats have also introduced a very restrictive "carry" bill which doesn't allow carry in vehicles, near schools, colleges or day care centers, hospitals, clinics, veterinarians offices, (yes that's right - no carrying at the vet's office), libraries, government buildings, restaurants, casinos, truck stops, any place that has video gaming of any kind, no carry on public transportation, and no carry on any private property without prior permission, (which is almost everywhere if you think about it).

And a whole host of other gun bills including outright bans on most semi-automatic firearms that accept a magazine, and a ban on magazines that can hold more than 10 rounds.

House committees will be meeting at 8:30 CST.
